Privacy policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026 ยท Business: CenterAide

This policy describes what CenterAide (formerly Class-Navi+) collects, why, where it is kept and who can see it. It covers the CenterAide Chrome extension and the website at centeraide.com. CenterAide is an independent product and is not affiliated with Kumon.

Exactly what we keep, and why

This is everything CenterAide stores on our servers. Everything else it reads, including student names, stays in your browser.

What we keepWhy
Your email address, and your name if you sign in with GoogleTo sign you in
Your center's number and name, and how many students take each subjectTo bill by subject and give each center one free month
Grading log: student ID, worksheet, score, time taken, the grader's Class-Navi name and nickname, and which laptopSo the owner can see who graded what, from every laptop
Each student's worksheet pattern, by student IDSo every laptop remembers it
Class days: the days, and the times if you use them, each student comes in, by student IDSo every laptop shows them beside names on the student list
Change log: student login ID, subject, worksheet, what CenterAide changed, which laptop and whenSo you have a record of every change it made in Class-Navi
Follow-up marks: student login ID, Contacted or Snoozed, and the note you typeSo every laptop sees who has been followed up
Appointments: by student login ID, the placement tests and their scores and times, the starting points, the subjects they start, whether the account was turned off or on and when, and the appointment's time and calendar event IDSo every laptop can follow a new family from their appointment to their starting points
Placeholder birthdays: student login ID and the birthday filled in for themSo every laptop can list the birthdays still to fix
Leaving students: student login ID, K-SIS student ID, quitting, break or transfer, the subjects, the final month, the note you type, when the profile was turned off or on, and the Report B marks madeSo every laptop knows who to turn off, and Auto ReportB knows who to mark
Missing tests: Kumon student ID, subject and level of a student who moved up without an Achievement Test, and whether it was marked not neededSo every laptop sees the same list
Messages: the message templates and flows your center writes, which students are on a flow (by Class-Navi student ID), and which messages were sent or are waiting, by whom and whenSo every laptop shares one queue and nobody sends a message twice
Lesson planning: which Class-Navi worksheet notes were ticked for lesson planning, by student ID, worksheet and note number, with the subject and level, who ticked it and when, and the quick phrases your center saves. The notes themselves stay in Class-NaviSo the ticked notes show beside the set grid on every laptop
Test decisions: for each graded Achievement Test, by Class-Navi student ID and K-SIS student ID, the subject, level and test date, Passed or Not yet, whether someone picked it by hand, who and on which laptop, and whenSo Messages and Auto Test Entry go by the instructor's pick on every laptop
What you have learned: which intro, guides, tips and What's new cards your account has seenSo a new laptop does not show you everything again
Center accounts: which accounts the owner made a manager or took off the center, who did it and whenSo the owner decides who works at the center
Center settings and test entry rulesSo every laptop works the same way
Linked laptops: the name you give each one, its extension version and when it was last usedSo you can see and switch off each laptop
Assistant invites: the assistant's email address and the name you give themTo email them their sign-in code
Bug reports: your message, your email, the page address, the extension version and your browser detailsTo reply and fix the problem
IP addresses, for 2 daysTo stop repeated sign-in and linking attempts
  • No student names. Students appear only by their Kumon student ID or login ID. Notes you type are saved exactly as you type them, so leave names and phone numbers out of them.
  • No Kumon passwords. CenterAide never asks for one and never stores one.
  • No card numbers. Payments go straight to Stripe. Stripe also receives your email, center number and center name to run your subscription.
  • No selling, ads or tracking. We do not sell data, show ads or use tracking cookies.

Information we collect

Your account

  • Sign-in details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name Google shares with us. Passwords for CenterAide accounts are handled by our authentication provider and are never readable by us.
  • Center and role: which Kumon center (by its center number and name) your account belongs to, and whether you own the account or were added to it.
  • What you have learned: which intro, guides, tips and What's new cards your account has already seen, so a new laptop does not show them again. Nothing about your center or students is in it.
  • Linked laptops: the name you give each laptop, when it was linked and last used, the extension version it runs, and which tools and marking list work the owner allows on it.
  • Assistant invites: when an owner invites an assistant, the assistant's email address, the name the owner gives, when it was sent and whether it was used. We email the one-time code to that address; the code itself is stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form and stops working after 7 days.

Billing

  • Your subscription status, plan, how many student subjects it covers, and your Stripe customer and subscription IDs.
  • Card numbers and payment details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.

What CenterAide keeps for your center

These records are shared by everyone at the same center, so that every laptop sees the same thing:

  • Grading log: which worksheets and tests were graded, when, the score, how long grading took, whether the Auto Grader was used, and which instructor graded them (by their Class-Navi grader name). Students are identified by their Kumon student ID.
  • Student engagement notes: when a student is marked Contacted or Snoozed, the note you write, who marked it and until when. Students are identified by their Kumon login ID.
  • Change log: a record of each change CenterAide made in Class-Navi for your center (for example, a test it set), with the student's login ID, the subject and worksheet, the laptop and the time.
  • Study plans: the worksheet pattern last used for each student and subject.
  • Class days: the days of the week each student comes in, and the class time if your center uses times, with who changed them last and when. Students are identified by Class-Navi's student ID.
  • Appointments: for each new student, by login ID: their placement tests (test, score, time), starting points, which subjects they start, when their account was turned off or on, and the appointment's time and calendar event ID. Never their name, and never the calendar itself.
  • Placeholder birthdays: the birthday CenterAide filled in when it added a student without one, by login ID, until it is fixed.
  • Leaving students: students quitting, on a 1-month break or transferring, by login ID and K-SIS student ID, with their subjects, final month, your note, when their profile was turned off or on, and the Report B marks made for them.
  • Goals: the goal your center sets for a student in a subject (a level and worksheet, a date, and a workload plan if you make one), and a copy of Kumon's study projection from Class-Navi with the student's monthly and weekly progress, so the chart and how far ahead or behind they are can show on every laptop. Students are identified by Class-Navi's student ID; goals we load for a center on request wait by login ID until a laptop there saves them.
  • Study days: when your center turns on the few-study-days flag, how many days each student had studied a subject this month as each day began, for the last two weeks. Numbers only, by Class-Navi's student ID.
  • Missing tests: students who moved up a level without an Achievement Test, by Kumon student ID, subject and level, and whether someone marked it not needed.
  • Messages: the message templates and flows your center writes (their names and text), which students are on a flow by Class-Navi student ID, and which messages were sent or are waiting, by whom and when. Messages go to students through Class-Navi's own Send Message window, never to parents, and never from our servers.
  • Lesson planning: which of Class-Navi's worksheet notes were ticked for lesson planning, named by Class-Navi's own ids (student, study, worksheet and note number) with the subject and level, who ticked it and when, and the quick phrases your center saves for its notes. The notes themselves stay in Class-Navi and are never copied to us.
  • Test decisions: for each graded Achievement Test, by Class-Navi student ID and K-SIS student ID, the subject, level and test date, Passed or Not yet, whether an instructor picked it by hand, who, on which laptop and when.
  • Center accounts: which accounts the owner made a manager or took off the center, who did it and when.
  • Center settings: which patterns and filters appear, how many quiet days count, what Student engagement watches, your test entry rules, whether Acceleration is on, and your class days setup (the days you are open, your class hours and how many students one class time holds).

What stays in your browser

  • CenterAide reads the Class-Navi and K-SIS pages you open, including student names, worksheets and scores, so its tools can work on them. That page content is used in your browser and is not sent to us, except the records listed above.
  • To act on your behalf (for example, to apply a study plan or set a test), CenterAide reuses your signed-in Class-Navi session inside your browser. That session never leaves your browser for our servers.
  • Your CenterAide sign-in, preferences, remembered choices and walkthrough progress are saved in Chrome's extension storage on that computer.
  • CSV files you upload for Report B or Auto Test Entry are read in your browser and are not uploaded to us.
  • Appointments reads your center's Google Calendar from its iCal link, with the permission Chrome asks for once (calendar.google.com). The calendar, and the families' and children's names in it, go straight from Google to your browser and are never sent to us.
  • When a student's K-SIS ID is missing from a Class-Navi file, CenterAide may match it in your browser by first name, last name and birthday, and keeps the match (login ID and K-SIS ID only) in Chrome on that computer.
  • When Download reports runs, CenterAide keeps a copy of each report file in Chrome on that computer so K-SIS can fill from it. The copy is deleted once K-SIS uses it, or after 3 days, and is never sent to us.
  • Phone # export asks K-SIS for its own student export and turns it into a phone list (student ID, names, and the contacts' phone numbers) in your browser. Clean a student export does the same for a K-SIS file you drop in. The file is read on that computer, saved to your Downloads, and never sent to us.
  • With Acceleration on, Class-Navi's recent answers are kept in the open page's memory for a few minutes so pages open faster. They are gone when the page closes and are never sent to us.

Support and error reports

  • When you send a bug report or a feature idea, we receive your message, the contact email you give (your account email if you leave it blank), the page address, the extension version and your browser details (the browser and system name your browser reports).
  • When a tool meets a page it does not recognize, it stops and may send us an automatic report so we can fix it. These reports describe what the tool saw (for example, class names, codes and counts), the page address, your account email, the extension version and the browser. They never include a student's name or nickname, anything a student wrote, or a score.

Website

centeraide.com does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser.

How we use information

  • To sign you in, link your laptops and keep each center's data separate.
  • To provide the tools: sharing settings, patterns, the grading log, follow-up notes and the change log across your center's laptops.
  • To bill your subscription and answer billing questions.
  • To answer support requests and fix problems.
  • To keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or use it to decide anyone's creditworthiness.

Who can see it

  • People at your center: center records are visible to accounts and linked laptops at that same center. The grading log, change log and billing details are visible only to the center's owner.
  • Our service providers: Supabase (sign-in and database), Cloudflare (hosting, email forwarding and short-lived server logs), Stripe (payments), Resend (sending account and support email) and Google (only if you choose Google sign-in). They handle data only to provide their service to us.
  • When the law requires it: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users.

Student information

CenterAide is used by instructors and center staff, not by students, and is not directed to children. It handles student records only on behalf of the center using it, and only to provide the tools the center turned on. The center remains responsible for its students' records under its own agreements and policies. We do not contact students or families and do not use student information for any other purpose.

How long we keep it

  • Account and center records are kept while the account is active.
  • Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • IP addresses kept to stop repeated attempts are deleted after 2 days.
  • Support and error reports are kept until we delete them or you ask us to.
  • Email us to delete your account or your center's stored records, and we will confirm when it is done.

Your choices

  • Turn CenterAide off on any page or laptop from its menu, or remove the extension at any time.
  • Ask us for a copy of your center's records, to correct them, or to delete them, at support@centeraide.com.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Each center's records are separated on the server, linked laptops use their own revocable keys, and server keys are never shipped in the extension. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected centers promptly if their data is involved in a breach.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
